People arrive in area of modern day Poland. Two tribes end up forming, the Polanies who settled around modern day Gniezno, and the Wiślanies who settled around modern day Kraków.
Miezko I becomes the first Duke of Poland. Years later he is baptized in the Western Latin Catholic Church.
Boleslaw I the Brave is crowned first king of the Kingdom of Poland, turning Poland into a kingdom with it, previously being a Ducky, with permission from Pope John XIX.
Boleslaw I's son and successor, Mieszko II Lambert is forced to flee the country and give up his king title after peasant uprisings and protests. Later control would be regained by Bezprym, Mieszko II's half-brother but the kingdom would suffer losses of territory from being invaded.
Casimir I the Restorer gains control of the Kingdom of Poland and takes back former Polish territories, he also moves the capital to Krakow.
In 1076, Boleslaw II the Bold regains full kingship of the Kingdom of Poland with the help of Pope Gregory V!!. In 1079 Boleslaw II is excommunicated and banished from Poland for murdering Bishop Stanislaus of Szczepanow, who was his opponent.
